Attorney Regulation Counsel serves at the pleasure of the Colorado Supreme Court. The Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel works with eight permanent Supreme Court committees in regulating the judiciary and the practice of law in Colorado.

The Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel serves as special counsel to the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline. The Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel also works with the Colorado Supreme Court Rules of Professional Conduct Standing Committee, which is charged with the responsibility of periodic review, correcting, updating and improvement of the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct.
